In the company, the most commonly used maxim is “the care for the trees and production takes precedence over everything”. An originally brick-making company, the Gálvez-Gónzalez family decided in 1999 to develop a production line of top-quality oils under the brand name Aceites Oro Bailén Galgón 99 S.L.U., under which it is well known throughout the world. Thanks to its geographical location, at the foot of the Sierra Morena and at an altitude of around 400 metres, it produces oils with unique and peculiar fruity and aromatic notes, which give them a very strong and balanced flavour.

With the approximately 300,000 premium ORO BAILÉN bottles per year, the new and exciting project of being an EVOO producer was set in motion in 2005, integrating the different stages of the production process, all the way to the final consumer, guaranteeing perfect traceability, all along the way. It is from this moment that, in addition to a project, this entrepreneurial adventure becomes a philosophy of life, whose purpose is not only to sell a product, but also to disseminate, contribute to and promote the excellence of a product so well known for its existence throughout history, but so unknown for its excellence.

At GALGÓN 99, the goal is not to sell a large number of bottles, but what they have at heart is to teach how to use different types of EVOOs, so that the consumer can understand that the use of different products is important in order to use and optimise the best oil according to the dishes. At the top of the World Rankings, Galgón 99 rightfully ranks among the best extra virgin olive oils in the EVO IOOC Italy 2023. After it was presented with the Best of Spain plaque in 2022, again with the Bailen Picual Bio Oro EVOO, it now defends the amazing result by coming first again in 2023 and confirming the Best of Spain 2023 trophy, a category in which it is the reigning champion, as well as being the best Spanish Extra Virgin Olive Oil to beat in the year 2024.
