The 10th edition of this prestigious competition featured an astonishing total of 707
champions, presented by 28 nations and from as many as 25 producing countries. A world-class event that attracted the attention of olive oil experts and enthusiasts from around the globe.
The winners were decided by an international jury of the highest caliber, composed of judges from Brazil, Croatia, Japan, Greece, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey, who in three days of intense and passionate tastings, evaluated the competing samples, awarding the 2024/2025 olive oil excellences, authentic masterpieces from every corner of the world.
Astounding numbers, commented President Antonio G. Lauro, highlighting a growing and resilient industry despite the difficulties of recent years. Indeed, the number of participating products increased significantly, and the average quality of extra virgin olive oils and condiments was simply outstanding.
In terms of awards, a remarkable 523 top‑level medals—gold and silver—were handed out. Italy stood out spectacularly, taking home the highest tally with 137 gold and silver medals. Turkey followed with 91 medals, Greece with 82, and Brazil with 51. Spain, with 42 gold and silver medals, rounded out an impressive list of winners that filled every participating country with pride.
